This was so much my own dad -- and it annoyed my very handy, common sense mom incredibly. One day she asked him to weed the flower garden -- only to find out he had pulled all the flowers and left the weeds. Then he went to water the lawn and instead watered the open screen windows four hours AFTER Mom had washed windows that day. Will says Dad did these things as his way of getting out of doing anything -- he couldnt be trusted so everyone left him alone to happily read his books in his corner of the room. Plus it was payback for her carping at him to be more practical and useful.
