This was the first mead I ever made. Been in a bottle a significant amount of time. Pours a stellar golden colour. Heavy vanilla and maple nose.. On the palette, a shameless expression of vanilla and honey. The heavy oaking adds a brilliant finish with lingering citrus legs. A bit on the sweet side, but my next two bottles will age for many more years! I have been unable to replicate this outcome on account of my bad note taking back then, but Im still working on it!
