This week I have been invited out to New York City to take part in celebrating the Army Reserves 106th Birthday. The first event was last night where the New York Mets welcomed us with front row seats behind home plate as part of their Military Monday military appreciation game. After the third inning they gave came out and gave me an awesome camouflage jersey signed by the whole team as well as an American flag flown over the stadium, very cool! Today was spent visiting the National 9/11 Memorial at ground zero. It was very humbling to meet and hear stories from several NYFD and NYPD officers who were not only involved with 9/11, but have also served in various branches of the armed forces. They are amazing men and women and I am very thankful for their service!
