This week, I witnessed many neglected and abused little children, a boy with no eyes, curious wide eyed little ones whos parents whip them with electrical wires and even more children who have never learned how to share resources and have been modelled a dog eat dog way of life. What a mix bag of emotions. I facilitated a group of under privileged children living in the inner city buildings in Hillbrow this week, as part of my training as an Art Therapist. We played, danced, boxed, created art and shared together everyday. I am humbled and honoured to have worked with them, learned from them and to have loved them. I am reminded not to strive to be the best mother in the whole world but to be a GOOD ENOUGH mother to my little boy.
