This week Life Changers Church had the incredible privilege of hosting a prayer vigil for the 9-month old baby that drowned in one of the local ponds in the neighborhood that I live in. The vigil had an incredible outpouring of support from our neighbors, local teachers and staff from Lakota Schools, families from our church, local media and other families in the community who simply wanted to support the grieving family. The family was BEYOND blessed by all of the love and kindness that was shown to them. I had the distinct honor of attending the funeral of the baby today. I was the only non-Chinese American in attendance. The entire service was done in Chinese (they provided for me a translator) by the familys pastor who preached a POWERFUL word from Gods Word reminding us how fleeting life is and to make the most of every opportunity because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Let me say this: I AM SO PROUD TO BE A PART OF GODS KINGDOM AND HIS FAMILY. There is no other family that I would want to be a part of!! I left the memorial service at our church last night and the funeral service today in tears reminded of how GOOD and GREAT that the God that we serve is! All praise belongs to you King Jesus!! The family of God is rich and inherently beautiful in the diversity that it possesses. I wept like a baby during the service today as the entire congregation sang Amazing Grace and It is Well With My Soul in their native Chinese language. Regardless of the language barrier, the Presence of God filled that room as we all worshipped the King of Kings together. It was a spectacle of the beauty of Gods creation. What a Mighty God that we serve! If you are on the outside of Gods family, you are missing out. There is only one way to get on the inside, and thats through His son, Christ Jesus. Call out to Him...call upon His name and watch Him answer you and radically change your life from the inside out. It will be the single most important decision that you have EVER made in your life. YOU WILL BE CHANGED!!
