This week at work their was lots of talk about when its appropriate to take your own life bc of illness...a friend shared with me this quote by Jodi Eareckson who is a quadriplegic, suffers from chronic pain and had breast cancer: I began to see that cancer wouldnt win if I died. Cancer would only win if I failed to cherish Jesus Christ. When people see us smile, in the midst of chronic pain, cancer, quadriplegia, whatever, they will look at us and think: Her God must be pretty great to inspire that kind of loyalty. I think thats amazing that she can smile in the midst of her affliction. I want what she has. I need her joy. Oh, what a rich testimony that is. I later found this clip and was further assured that Gods hope and love is greater than any temporary human experience. ☺️
