This week my friend, but more importantly, someone I respect very much as an activist, is facing a trial. She is being accused of assaulting federal officers. She was arrested shortly after attending an Anti-War protest in Philadelphia because she was standing in a federal area ie next to the Liberty Bell on our National Park in the heart of the city. Here is the video of her arrest and the assault she perpetrated: https://youtube/watch?v=8BMMg5V_zaE She may have been seeking to make a statement against war, instead she has become an example of the inhumane way we can be treated when we use our civil liberties: free speech and the right to assemble in our current political climate.
