This week on Gracepointes... Devices – how many do you have? iPhones, iPads, Nooks, Kindles, notebooks, desktops, tablets. The list keeps expanding. Buy one and you are on your way to smart phones, window phones, mp3, mp4; it never stops. What is brand new today will be old news tomorrow. New editions are arriving every day. My brand new device just got old overnight. We have drawers filled with stuff that is outdated, not working, or they have the wrong format for the current edition. So in the pile of has-beens they go. They go on sale, we buy them and then after we have them they are the old technology and do not function they way we want them to operate. The latest device is not in step with Satan’s devices. He has some devices and we are alerted to them by Paul in 2 Corinthians 2:11. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” His devices have an evil purpose, The devices that we use are for information of some kind. His devices are for the same intent – information on how he can destroy our lives. Our thoughts and actions under a certain set of circumstances are noted. He knows us well and he uses his knowledge to hinder us and destroy our lives, attacking us in our mind, spirit, and body. Thoughts come that challenge our knowledge of spiritual truth bringing confusion to our perception of good and evil. It is our responsibility to know and understand his devices against our lives. We must become “savvy” and learn everything we can to function victoriously in a world filled with evil distractions and “mis”information. The devices that we buy are obsolete in a short period of time but his are never out-of-date. His method changes, his presentation never looks the same, his course of action is always hostile; our demolition, devastation and destruction are his goals. Next time you use one of those technological devices, remember that he has some devices set against you. Make them obsolete. Your knowledge of his strategies will outlast your latest iPhone and is far more important. And that is the point this week on Gracepointes.
