This week, open up a lemonade or hot cocoa stand (depending on the weather). Just don’t mix the two up. A steaming mug of lemonade just doesn’t taste the same. You could even offer a cooler full of freeze-pops or an array of fluffy marshmallows for dessert. But here’s the kicker—give it all away for free. You’re probably thinking, “What?! Do all the work of making signs, hauling a table to the end of the street, mixing water in the powder—just to give it away for free? That’s crazy!” Well, not exactly. We just learned that forgiveness is deciding someone doesn’t have to pay. When you forgive someone, you are giving something to that person for free. So let’s all practice this week by giving something away for free. And maybe when the time comes to forgive someone that has really hurt you, it won’t be as hard.
