This week someone shared their distress with me. They let me know about this young woman they had worked with. They only had 10 minutes with them. This young woman was in distress and had sought help. She had a young baby who was being looked after while she was getting assistance. She had rung her mum to help who had told her to .... Off and that she was good for nothing. The person who was telling me the story had tried to give supporting words to this young woman who had no support or network, not even her own mum. Others who had come across this young woman found her to be angry and rude had walked away from her and this person who was sharing the story with me was able to see past the words and anger and really see a young woman who was hurting and had nothing. May each of us take the time to see past the surface and learn to care for others in our community who even their own mother wont. Mark Anderson CEO
