This week we are roasting on Tuesday, 10/7/2014. We are having the plumbing and venting portion of Glenstorms installation completed on Monday. The electrical portion is complete! It is our hope the rosting schedule is not interrupted. We are planning on roasting Tuesday, but if things do not go as planned, well be pushing the roast schedule out a day or two or three. If you order 2 or more Half Pounds, you will receive the Whole Pound price break. This week the Lamppost Coffee Menu includes ~ Single Origins: Brazil Canaan Estate Natural Process - Simple coffee with great body, fruit and nutty flavors with some chocolate. This one also makes an amazingly sweet single origin espresso with thick crema. It is a solid, bold but smooth cup of coffee good for daily drinking. (Note: Natural or dry processing is the original manner in which coffee was processed. The cherries are dried with the beans inside, like drying a grape into a raisin and removed later in the process.) Whole Pound: $12.00 Half Pound: $7.00 Ethiopia Yirga Cheffe Grade 1 Aricha Natural - Roastmasters Choice - A berry syrup fruit character, cinnamon toast, pineapple and ripe citrus brightness, and a sweet butter finish. At the Full City roast level, there are black currants and blueberry notes that emerge, with a drinking cocoa finish. Whole Pound: $14.00 Half Pound: $8.00 Guatemala Proyecto Xinabajul – FC Mendez (aka Guatemala Project X) - Bonney Lakes favorite is back! This variety has taste notes of dark sugars, peach and red grape. There are some slight florals and raw nut flavors as the cup cools. It boasts a long and sweet finish with flavors of milk chocolate and caramel. This is a sweet cup of coffee that makes a great single origin espresso as well as a great cup of brewed coffee. Whole Pound: $14.00 Half Pound: $8.00 Rwanda Buliza Select - Sweet, clean and bright. Citrusy orange zest, grapefruit and caramel flavors with a tea like finish. Very balanced cup. Whole Pound: $14.00 Half Pound: $8.00 Blends: SM Espresso “Funky” Monkey Blend - Bittersweet chocolate, dark fruit, licorice, a long aftertaste and good body. While this is an espresso blend, it brews up a bold but smooth and amazing cup of coffee. Whole Pound: $14.00 Half Pound: $8.00 Decaf: DECAF Burundi-Ethiopia Coop Blend SWP - Sweet and aromatic decaf coffee with a complex acidity, some berry juice flavors and a thick syrupy body. Brews up a wonderful cup of coffee but will also make a great decaf espresso. Whole Pound: $14.00 Half Pound: $8.00 Half-caff pairings: DECAF Burundi-Ethiopia Coop Blend SWP pairs well with Brazil Canaan Estate Natural Process to produce a sweet, full bodied, richly flavored cup of coffee. Sampler Packs: If you are torn and cannot decide which coffee to try, why not try a Sampler Pack? This will include 1/4 pound of four (4) coffee offerings. Include in in your order if you want a sample of decaf or not. You can also tell us which four (4) you would like to sample or leave it up to the Roastmaster and Coffee Maven. Sampler Pack: $16 Merchandise: Clever Coffee Dripper single serve brewer - This is the Coffee Mavens favorite brewing methods for single or personal sized servings of coffee. The bottom of the filter cone contains a pressure sensitive stopper allowing for control of extraction time. It uses a #4 paper filter to produce a sediment-free brew and makes clean up easy. This is a full immersion brewing method, allowing you to control the water temperature, water to coffee ratio, and extraction time.
