This week we move across the country to Argyll. This is a particularly wild region in a country filled with wilderness, and nowhere is this more apparent than in Pucks Glen. Puck was a name given to a particularly mischievous forest spirit or fairy, believed by the celts to perform menial tasks for those who gained their favour, and to terrorise those who fell out of it! The name was later revived for use in Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream. The paths take you deep into the forests around Dunoon and Loch Long and features some spectacular scenery.
