This weekend I have mostly been training Collies and bumping into famous people. As most peoples views on Collies is one of a farmers friend that herds sheep, you may be surprised to know that my last two clients contacted me for help with aggression issues. As with any aggression, there is no point in pushing a dog past its comfort zone and huge benefit taking things steady and bit by bit, there is no write up/ case studies for these two until we see the progress that we desire, so wait out. Whilst training with Ben, (dog reactive) within 5 minutes of being out we bumped into none other than Frankie Boyle out with his daughter in the rain playing with her scooter. We kept on with the session and 30 minutes later we were walking along the street and the one and only Kevin Bridges was walking along in our direction with his Dogs Trust rescue dog. I had already spoken to Kevin whilst in Pets at Home, Clydebank about training for his rescue, but with Ben in tow he wasnt for stopping in the rain as the little guy was showing his finer points of dog reactivity. I thought to myself at that point, wow.. what a night, two funny guys in one session and then something happened, we walked right past Sanjeev Kohli (better known to some as Still Games Navid) who was looking out his window. An interesting night was had by all, including Ben who was without a muzzle for a change :)
