This weeks A&S will be a Naalbinding class with Avacyn at the combined fighter practice. Location is Horizon Middle School, and the practice runs from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Please bring a naalbinding or large, blunt tapestry/rug needle - the plastic kind used for plastic canvas will work very well for this initial lesson. Key item is that it have a large eye. If you have reall wool yarn, please bring that as well - Avacyn has advised that acrylic is NOT good to learn on. To give everyone a chance to prepare, Kayte Blackwell will be teaching an introduction to card weaving in two parts beginning January 29. She plans to give us an overview of the materials and tools and give us a little homework at the first session, then two weeks to prepare to actually do some weaving.
