This weeks sign is: Democrats vow to Continue Policies of Hopelessness All of the policies of the Democrats are failing but yet they continue with their hopeless policies. Quite a mystery? Some examples: In Economics they believe in Keynesian economics and that spending creates growth, wealth and jobs. Obama has added $6 trillion to the deficit and we have the most anemic recovery in history. Labor participation rates are at 30 year record lows. Obama and Democrats are now pushing minimum wages and a limit on hours worked by salary employees. They just dont get that their economic policies dont work, have never worked in history and are in fact harming the economy and are completely hopeless. In Healthcare, Obama has taken over 15% of the economy and has destroyed healthcare options and affordability for many Americans. The Affordable Care Act is neither affordable nor even about patient care. Coming will be large premium increases in 2015 and bailouts and vilification of the Insurance companies. Obamacare is a failure and is hopeless. It will be used as a bridge to complete Socialized medicine if the Democrats stay in power. In Foreign Policy the strategy is to lead from behind. And behind we are; in fact we are going backwards. Putin looks like he is putting the USSR back together again. The Syria and Iranian negotiations are failing. Romney was right about the threat of Russia during the Presidential debates. Hillary as Secretary of State had her stupid reset button with Russia and Obama announced that he will be much more flexible with Russia during his 2nd term. Everything that Reagan and Thatcher accomplished during the cold war with Russia has been undone. Charles Krauthammer said that one never gets a vacation from history and he is absolutely right. Not only do we have a hopeless foreign policy, it is not even apparent that we have one. In Energy our strategy is to believe climate change is the gospel truth that will destroy the planet. A professor last week said that all climate change deniers should be charged with a criminal offense and be thrown in jail. Solar and Wind only work with massive government subsidies. The USA has the wherewithal to be completely energy sufficient and to drive the down the prices of oil, gas and electrical energy on a global basis. This would dramatically impact not only economic growth but also foreign policy as much of the funding of Russia, the Middle East, tyrants and terrorists come from oil and gas revenue. What Putin has put in place is very smart. He is pressuring a split in the USA Democratic party between the Green Party and the main party. He knows that they will stay the course with Green Party incompetence rather than a pro growth energy policy. My theory why the Democrats wont change policy is because they believe they are morally right. It doesnt matter if their policies work as long as it fits the progressive moral narrative of the greater good. Social justice, redistribution of income, fair share, living wage, green energy, leading from behind are all code words of their moral righteous. These concepts are all false. They all fail. They are all double downs on hopelessness. To the Progressives, reality really doesnt matter if it can be countered by a good narrative, a cooperative press and media training. If the Republicans and Tea Party candidates are ever to win in 2014 and 2016 they need to completely reject and defeat the Progressive morality of Common Wealth for the Common Good. They need to reassert individual rights, free markets and a constitutionally limited government; not only because it works but most importantly because it is moral. The frequent Republican argument of more efficient government for the greater good like Romney made is pathetic. Since Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher I have not heard a single candidate that can even come close to a proper moral argument based on Individual Rights.
