This week’s #FirefighterFriday is dedicated to Dan Bosworth of the Skowhegan Fire Department and the Madison Fire Department. Dan is married and lives in Cornville with his wife Vicki and his two sons Brad and Jayson. Dan belongs to the Madison FD Company 2 where he is a Deputy Chief. He is also a member of the Skowhegan FD and a Captain in the Call Force. Dan has been a firefighter for over 20 years. Dan grew up in Cornville on the family farm. Being a hard laborer is one of the many positive things people can say about Dan, who manages Bosworth Farms, which milks over 300 cows daily. “He is very innovative, he always has new ideas for fire service” says former Skowhegan Fire Chief, Tom Keene. Dan has also been very useful for his fabrication skills by manufacturing several pieces of machinery and tools for both Madison and Skowhegan Fire Stations. Dan is known to have a huge heart, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He is also a dedicated father. He taught his boys Jayson and Brad how to build and maintain stock cars for racing, and together they established the racing team “Boz Boys”. Both his sons seem to be following in Dan’s footsteps in the fire service industry. We have had the privilege to work with Dan before, and look forward to continue working with him in the future. We are truly blessed to have such great people, especially Dan, in our community. Congratulations for being nominated for this week’s #FirefighterFriday Dan Bosworth!
