This week’s Words Of Wisdom come from Paul’s letter to the Ephesians which tells us clearly that we should all work together for the building up of the body of Christ – in other words, the Church: “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,” (Ephesians 4:11-16) And we have even more opportunities this weekend to build up the body of Christ: breakfast on Saturday morning, a visit from the Evangelical Sisters of Mary, Father’s Day on Sunday and the 4.30 Family Service on Sunday as well. Why not come along to Breakfast at 8 o’clock and meet the Sisters of Mary? And then on Sunday, bring Dad to church (the body of Christ) to celebrate the amazing role he plays in the life of your children.
