This will probably ruffle some feathers, so bear with me....this is an NA related post, so if you are not a member, it does not apply! PERIOD! Atheism is a form of close mindedness in the program. If you walk through those doors and claim to be a member of Narcotics Anonymous who is ready TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES to stay clean, you better be ready to consider that there is a power greater than you who can restore you to sanity, consider that you will have to make the decision to turn your will and your life over to the care of God, as you understand Him, and overall, eventually have a spiritual awakening which will enable you to better carry the message and practice the principles you learned through the steps in all your affairs. I hate when I see these atheists complain that we PRAY in a SPIRITUAL program that is based around forming a relationship with a God of OUR understanding. And dare say that the third step prayer shouldnt be called a prayer because it isnt explicitly called a prayer in the BT. praying and building a relationship with God and turning your will and your life over is what that while step is about! Dont you dare complain that we pray in a spiritual program that it is 100% voluntary that you be a member of! END RANT
