This win is for the true fans. You know who you are. The ones that have made as many games as possible over their lifetime with a hidden belief this time would come. Youve seen the videos and highlights from the past and knew everything would come full circle eventually, as in life everything does. You ignore the rants of local bandwagoners that criticize the ownership and boycott the games and have given up hope. You cant blame them, but you also never joined them. Absolutely, the true fans criticized our ownership and our manager, but we care. We are passionate about baseball, our hometown, how its being represented and our team. You ignore the ownership and focus on supporting the hometown team, your team, for years. You focus on the players and for the love of the city and for the love of the game. No matter who owns the team or whom tries to screw it up with coaching decisions, you rest your faith in the players on the field and the fans in the stands and the crown that sits atop the scoreboard and in our hearts. Last night was a long time coming, and those of us that believed knew it would. To those that joined me in being there last night and over the years, that was for us, and we arent done yet. Lets take back the crown and support like we always have and always will. Never have I seen a game like that, but the players also havent seen a crowd like that. This is what it means to Be Royal.
