This year is the first year I am spending Thanksgiving away from friends and family and just completely working. To be honest, I would not have it any other way for being away from home has made me more thankful and appreciative of everything that has ever been done or given to me. Working 21 hours yesterday, about to take a quick nap and do it all over again on this Thanksgiving day has made me truly thankful for my work ethic, the opportunities that has come to pass for me, and my absolutely cunning and somewhat manipulative personality that allows me to walk through these doors that God has opened for me. I know the hard work that we are putting in today will only allow for next Thanksgiving for me to be off and relaxing but in all honesty, everyday has been Thanksgiving. Not as far as a meal unless you consider Ramen noodles mixed with Vienna sausage a bountiful feast. But every day, even when it seems like absolutely nothing is working and all of my efforts are futile, I always try to give thanks for the things I do have and the people I have in my life. Please know that all of you are very important to me. I love you all. Some of you anyways. Half of you are gross. But a truly extra special thanks goes out to my mom and step dad Jesse Moki as I know I am probably getting on their last nerves financially but it will all pay off one day as a result of hard work and hopefully not a horrific motorcycle crash that takes my life and allows my life insurance policy to compensate them for their loss. Gee, talk about a positive status gone sour.
