This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Association for Behaviour Analysis International (ABAI). ABAI is comprised of chapter organizations and the association continues to grow year after year around the world. In 2008, the British Columbia Association for Behaviour Analysis was recognized as a chapter of ABAI. For two or three years preceding the development of the chapter, groups of Behaviour Analysts from BC would discuss the importance of having a chapter... still nothing happened. In 2007, I picked up the gauntlet to found BC-ABA and became the first president of the association. It has been fabulous to see BC-ABA grow and develop into a strong professional body within the province and to see Pivot Point assume more and more of a leadership role with the autism community delivering excellent services to our families. Liz Sparling, BCBA Clinical Director of Pivot Point and 1st President and Founder of BC-ABA
