This year, over 4,500 man-hours will be donated towards cleaning up Detroit, with the work being done between 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the various locations. Since its inception, the U of D Jesuit community has given almost 20,000 hours of service to Detroit through its “Pledge Detroit” initiative. “It’s wonderful to see U of D Jesuit students coming together like this each year to beautify the city’s landmarks and care for its citizens,” stated Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. “I cant thank the students, parents, staff and alumni enough for the hard work and commitment they are demonstrating to Detroit. They are a great example of the growing community spirit is turning our city around and strengthening our neighborhoods. Go Cubs! #MenforOthers
