#ThisIsMeTalkingAboutIt....... I have had several conversations with friends and some people I now consider part of the problem. This IS a race thing. Police Brutality is out of hand. They are attacking the general population many times with no cause. Its painful to watch but I grew up in a world with more dirty cops than clean ones so why I am appalled I am far from surprised. Lois and Paul the police DO have a difficult job. They want to make it home too, but fear doesnt pull triggers, fingers do. While I agree they have to be vigilant for our safety but when is the line crossed. I tagged you in this not to put you on blast but mostly to say that I see your racism hanging there in the back of the closet. Going to school with a couple of black people doesnt change you. You can unfriendly me at this time if you would like. Black men are suffering more than any other group of people right now. Our men are being killed once every 28 hours by officers of the law. You can NOT tell me that we all deserve it. WE ARE NOT ALL CRIMINALS. This isnt about Ferguson or looting or shootings or dying. This is about the systematic elimination of us whether it be by gun or exclusion. You catch a felony, you cant vote....you cant vote you have no say. We are losing to the system that is put in place to annihilate us and were all watching it go down. Someone said something about better parenting and more guidance. I agree but look at the facts. If I cant make as much money as my white counterpart for the same job, then I have to work more. If I work more than I wont be there as much for my children as my white counterpart. They dont get as much guidance. Do you see the cycle? If Michael Brown put his hands on that officer, then he placed himself in front of those bullets and I cant say a damn thing, but we ALL know cops lie. Oh you dont believe me? I spent 3 nights in jail and amazingly my record is clean. I committed no crimes. Not even the ones the officer pulled me over for. Amazing right? Silly me for thinking I was too fine and too articulate to go to jail. Looting was a reaction, while I dont agree with it I WILL take it because now people are watching. So someone is saying right now that you shouldnt loot to get attention and they are correct......we shouldnt HAVE to.. We didnt loot for Trayvon, Eric, Marissa, Tamir, John, or the many others and some have already forgotten their names......if they ever even knew them. The killing still continues. Now, we have all made our points. We can march, protest, and argue. Now, however, continues the movement. If someone has to die for the betterment of Us, then unfortunately thats what we do. Examine yourselves and what you do to perpetuate the problem. Pay attention to where you shop, eat, and spend your money. Frequent our communities and small business.
