Thomas has been using a crutch cane in therapy for the past few months. He is also assisted by a therapist when using it. When he first started using it he could not even keep it on the ground----too much shaking in his arm to keep it steady. His therapists figured out that they could add weight to the crutch and it helped a little. If he walked 20 feet that was a big day. He has been improving little by little and yesterday I watched him walk 390 feet with the crutch! I had to walk along with a towel to dab the sweat from his forehead. He works so hard. I cant help think of the childrens classic, The Little Engine that Could. That is what he is like....over a year and a half and he just keeps going and going!
