Those Russians feel besieged...so theyll smash their way west. Thats basically their new doctrine: NATO wont be allowed to step one more inch eastward; Russia will not step an inch backwards. Ill say there can only two outcomes out of this: 1 - Countries along its western frontiers back off, in which case NATO will have lost its meaning or at least reached its limits 2 - That the some of those countries, especially the Baltics, Poland, UK and the US will posture up more threateningly and clamor that Russia has no veto power over the happenings of NATO...in which case war have to become an inevitability Id say Russias in no appetite to engage in a long and draining fight alone against western Europe and their descendants in the US, Canada, Australia and so on..while China, India, and the rest of the new comers sit back and enjoy the show. That and of course it cant hope to win this kind of gangland fight without reliable friends and no financial wealth to match their enemies. So naturally it only has one choice which it must resolve itself to follow through: settle their issues with the rest of Europe through force of arms. Clearly they cant get along and its just way too different than the rest of west EU.
