Those attacking the government of Kenya over the screening of aliens from Somalia are yet to tell the government how to tackle the terrorism menace without upsetting anyone. They are unwilling to see the magnitude of the attacks on innocent Kenyans (ask Hon. Yusuf Hassan) in terms of hundreds of innocent deaths, injury and trauma. When they talk of the Somali community as being targeted, they lose the sight of the antelope and focus on the squirrel. The al-Shabab from Somalia happen to be Somalis by nationality (arent all persons from Somalia Somalis?). The terrorist or illegal aliens are not being held due to their ethnic origin which they share with Kenyan Somalis but for failure to show why they are on our land. Even were they to be Somalia Kikuyus, Luos, Kambas etc, they will still need to say why they are in Kenya or why they dont have travel documents. Which country in the world does not screen aliens? The Americans, British, Canadians, Australians etc have in place very stringent visa and green card systems to control an influx of immigrants, and they are hunted day and night when they have illegally entered those countries! A case in point is that of the late Zeituni Onyango (r.i.p.), aunt to the US president Barack Obama. She fought a lonely court battle till she was allowed to stay. Our Kenyan Somali brothers must not in sympathy lump themselves with their Somalia Somali cousins but distance themselves from the immigrant Somalia Somalis and let the government do its work. If a Somalia Kikuyu, Luo or Kamba is found on our soil, they must be repatriated to Somalia, period.
