Those of us our age and by that I mean in the 40plus range all know that todays music that our children and grandchildren listen to are a little short on content. Melodies and story based songs are a rare commodity but when exposed to songs they will respond in a positive way sometimes. I was driving home today from having played at church and hauling my GFs youngest daughter and I put in a Hugo Duarte album I played on and Scars came on. By the end of the song she was crying in a good way. I told myself last week that I was going to put alot of my spare energy into making sure my dear friends music is heard. When Hugo first came out of the Hospital his closest asked me to stay with him. Believe me when I say that there is nothing on earth that would have made me happier than to do that. The timing of it made it impossible and I was and have remained sad about that. I loved that man and my gift to him has been laid out. Whatever happens big or small on my end will be a blessing to me haven done it. I was influenced more that I could have ever dreamed having known him and his passing has changed the way I look at life and by my own mortality. As my friends that I spent some of my favorite times with pass it awakens things that I never knew existed. That rascal Hugo always had that part in his mind and it came out in his songs. I miss you buddy
