Those of you thinking of using Meagan Wilkerson photography do not!!!! Here is our story and why: Day of the wedding, Meagan shows up and She brings her boyfriend to our wedding, very unprofessional. I think hes super insecure, and she calls him her assistant to make herself feel better about it. He is no assistant let me assure you, he sat there and did nothing but watched Meagan like a hawk. Wedding ended and when it was time for pictures Meagan sat there almost silently and told no one how or where to stand. Very unprofessional....that is part of a photographers job isnt it!?...one of Andreas bridesmaids had to direct people because she didnt. Anyways night went on, pictures went on, her boyfriend continued to stand around like a lost puppy. The night came to an end and I payed her thanked her and gave her a $20 tip even though she didnt come close to being professional, and was not helpful at all. I did what I thought was right. Here was my biggest mistake, paying her upfront. Because the next two months would show her true colors as a photographer. I bet if I had waited to pay her until I had the pictures were done it would be a different story. I promised Meagan that I would not pester her for my pictures like I often see people on her site do.....another huge mistake because my kindness was mistaken for weakness. Now looking back I understand why I see countless women blowing her FB up...its because it takes her a millennium to get them done. Anyways, I wait just shy of 2 MONTHS!!! to finally send her a message telling her that we are moving out of state in a week and I would like to have my pictures by then. She replied sure no problem, she would have them done Thursday the day before my move....pause...now it has become apparent to me that she hasnt even started on them yet because it has been 2 months and if she cant have them done in a week she hasnt even touched them...unpause....I thank her even though Im slightly frustrated. Thursday 1 WEEK later comes along and she messages me saying that she will drop them off when she gets off work. Its getting late Thursday night, I message her, no reply, I message her one more time because she said they would be done. At 12am I get tired and finally go to bed....oh btw did I mention that I had been packing all day and I had to get up at 7 to move 5 vehicles, two trailers and and 2 kids to St. Louis.!!! But I stayed up because my wife wanted our pictures before we moved. The next day I get a sob story message from her boyfriend about how Megan is crying and is stressed because she didnt get them done, and that she had been up all night Thursday night working on them and passed out in front of the computer....wa wa wa wait didnt this girl tell me that she would drop them off Thursday night!? Yes she did so she lied, she didnt have them done, and ignored me while she frantically tried to complete them. So anyways I finally had Dervi get them from mister assistant and he sent them to me. She ignored all dervis attempts at communication as well, most likely because of the boyfriend issue, he finally met Dervi and handled picking up the pictures probably because he wouldnt allow Meagan to be around Dervi....probably because Dervi has really nice muscles....idk. It gets worse lemme tell you..I got the pictures today, they are AWFUL!!!!!! 6 discs of pictures 50% of them are duplicates, and the only edited ones are ones she put a black and white filter on, I can edit pictures on Instagram better than that. On a lighter note she does have talent but losses what she does in her lack of professionalism. There were about 5% of the pictures edited nicely, pretty much the ones you saw on FB in her preview. The rest are garbage unedited pics. My wife is super upset almost in tears that her wedding day memories are in blurry, or just plain black and white pictures. She should have chose the best ones edited them and that wouldve been fine. But now I have about 5000 blurry and black and white pics, I wouldve rather had one of each good shot, and them edited. This was the most unprofessional encounter I have had, I wouldve rather paid the $800 we were going to than went through this. You definitely get what you pay for, do not ...I repeat do not waste your time or money here it was a ginormous headache and waste of money. I am including all pictures of the unprofessional messages and lies from her to back up my rant. Im going to post this on FB, and google as a consumer review, I will not blow her FB up and ask for a refund, nor post this all over her wall. I trust that in the town of mountain home 5000+ people will have read it by morning.
