Those of you who know me are familiar with my Facebook/confessional thing. That, having been said: This is an insight I had, during a private conversation, that I felt I needed to share. Not for its profundity or wisdom but because I need to say it out lous. So it sticks. For clarity, I had been asked if I was soaring high or sinking low in respect to recent events in my life. Hmm. The answer is complex. Lets see if I can simplify: What happens, from here, is largely dependent on my willingness. I am all too familiar with the pitfall that is unrealistic expectations, hell, expectations, in general. I also have, in the past, readily lapsed into complacency without considering the option to improve. What I have been given, here, is an unidentified seed. Do I nurture it without knowing what it might become or, just toss it into the dirt and see if anything comes up? I cant say for sure but, tossed seeds usually turn into bird shit. Sorry, I shouldve just said cautiously optimistic and been done with it.
