Those of you who know me well know that the Bulb has been the focus of all of my energy and attention for the last several months (for better or for worse). The Bulb is a beautiful space because not only does it provide a much-needed space for community art and association, but it also is home to 60+ otherwise homeless people who have used it to build community, safety, and political power for themselves. They are an inspiration to me, and it would break my heart to see the Albany Bulb turned from a hotbed of artistic and political engagement into just another place for wealthy people to bring their dogs. Albany is threatening to evict Bulb residents this week, and in order to have a successful defense against the eviction, the group Share the Bulb needs funds for supplies, printing, etc. If you have even a few dollars to spare, please consider donating to the cause. And even if you dont, send this page to your rich uncle or neighbor or landlord or anyone who might help, and let them know why the Bulb matters to YOU. Thank you!
