Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this - TopicsExpress

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalms 12:6-7Since, the Quran claims continuity that the Bible is attributed to Allah and Allah always never fail to fulfill his promise, it stands to reason, and the theory on the preservation, or more accurately the lack of it is flawed. So, where did this theory come about? Because the Quran claims to share a commonality between the Old Testament and the New Testament, it has to prove continuity. However, because of the many divergences between itself and the Bible, Muhammad and Muslim theologians have to come up with a theory to explain their obvious contradiction. If the Quran actually superceded the Bible with something new, the problem that is posed by the lack in any propitiation to satisfy the demands of the law becomes it’s downfall, further, the laws contained is not progressive like in the relationship between the Old Testament with the New. Simply, it is a corruption between the old, new and a futile imagination of Muhammad. SummarySince the Torah, Gospel and Quran is from Allah (a Perfect being), his works are also expected to reflect perfect-ness. If we were to take the former view then, he is Imperfect in not being able to preserve his work. However, if we were to take the latter then, his imperfection is reflected in his need to replace his previous work for a more perfect one. In both cases it reflects and incompetent, imperfect being who demonstrated carelessness in his work. Conclusion: Since, neither scenario satisfies the merits of a perfect all-powerful, all-knowing being, then he cannot be God.It presents a severe contradiction to itself: - on one hand, the Bible was abrogated, yet, it presented the Bible as authoritative and MUST be followed. Since, the unenviable task of proving that the Torah and Gospel- Bible; since according to the Quran came from Allah, then, why the disbelief? Those who deny the Scripture and that wherewith We send our messengers. But they will come to know, when carcans are about their necks and chains. They are dragged through boiling waters; then they are thrust into the Fire. – TMGQ Surah 40: 70-72Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which we sent our Apostles: but soon shall they know,-When the yoke (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along-In the boiling Fetid fluid then in the Fire shall they be burn;- THQ Surah 40:70-72 Canon The collection of books contained in both the Old Testament and the New Testament is called the canon. The word is derived from the Greek, kainon which originally denoted Any straight rod for measuring. Hence used metaphorically applied to the determination of which books belong to the books of the Bible. While it is noted that, the Bible does not give a complete a complete historical background of the Bible, but it does contain statements concerning it.2 Peter 1:20-21Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scriptures is of private interpretation. For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy man of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. These men were endowed with the special ability to know and accurately transmit the will of God. However, in order to authenticate their credentials, they were further conferred with miraculous gifts. Mark 16:20, 1 Corinthians 1:61 Thessalonians 1:5For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. Hebrews 2:3-4How shall we escape, if we neglected so great a salvation; which was first began to be spoken by our Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy ghost, according to his own will? After the message has been authenticated as those belonging to God, expressed provisions are said to have been made for the custody of the message and making people acquainted with the message. Deuteronomy 17:18-19; 31:10-13,24-26; Joshua 1:8,11,15; Judges 3:4. We also read that additions were constantly being updated into the records, keeping in mind, the Bible was not completed until the final chapters of the New Testament was penned. Joshua 24:26; Colossians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:27; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.In other words, at the end of the first century, all the words authenticated to be inspired of God is known; and the 66 books we ascribed to the holy writ are those canonized. The term, Apocrypha has had a variety of meanings. We are interested in the one employed in the post-Reformist Protestant writings. The term comes from the Greek word apokruphos -hidden or concealed. Jerome of the fourth century was the first to call a group of literature Apocrypha. It denotes books added to the Old Testament and New Testament by the Catholic Church that are not canonical. It was from these uncertain and troubled times (300 BC to 300 AD) in which the term Apocrypha emerged. The term itself is a neuter plural Grecian word, meaning, concealed or hidden. This is in contrast to the Torah in which it was to be circulated and the populace was commanded to know- Nehemiah 8:1-8. The Qumran documents in which some of these apocryphal manuscripts are to be found were never meant for public reading. IV. Conclusion.A fact yet to be proven that the claims made by Islam in this series with respect to sharing a commonality to the Torah and Gospel (Bible) begins and ends with the Quran. Continuity does not exist. The only logical conclusion a sane and intelligent human being can conclude is that it is a product of an imperfect god-and Muhammad is his name. The Quran is devised to deceive. The testimony that is provided by these ancient writers are of first class testimony in which not even Muslim objectors can set aside, seeing that this is the very quality of evidence demanded by their Quran. In retrospect, since the Quran claims Allah to the author of the Bible (cross reference with Surah 3:3, are we to believe that an omnipotent, omniscience, omnipresent God would allow His holy writ to be corrupted by his creation? Are we talking about the same God who promised:The words of the Lord are pure words: as a silver tried in furnace of earth, purified seven times.Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalms 12:6-7The theory of abrogation of the holy writ is conceived by a devious teacher of untruths, lies and misinformation whose peers and subsequent followers- misguided as they may be: have not produced one shred of evidence to prove that the Bible has been corrupted to the extent that we do not have the original document as it was intended by the original authors.
