Though I speak with the tongue of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1. Words are easy. We can boast and speak kind flattering words all day long, but if we dont put action to those words, if our lives are not motivated by the love we speak, then its a lot of nothing. Every step of Jesuss journey to the cross, every cruel slap of the whip to his back, every agonizing step he took with that rough wooden cross on his back he took with the love of mankind in his eyes and on his lips. He hung there, nailed, beaten, spit upon, mocked and hated by a world He gave His all for, and cried out to God the Father to forgive them for they dont know what they are doing. As Christians what do our words say? What actions are we showing to a lost and dying world? My prayer today is to daily pick up the cross of Christ and boldly show His love not only through my words but also through my actions. Happy Saturday fb friends! I serve a RISEN Savior!
