Though Im a strong supporter for development & stable governance for development; I strongly oppose what current govt has decided about River Regulation zone.. Already Maharashtra 100s of river are dead... No drinking water resources are virgin.. When there was policies to control water contamination; still mithi river, Ulhas river, patalganga are eye openers.. Whom are going to be protected ?? How we are going to protect our drinking water supplies from those industries which are least bothered for any pollution? Unfortunately, working Im in this field.. So I know how many industries really treat, recycle and reuse there effluent.. Pollution Control Boards are busy in protecting most polluting industries.. This will just increase incurable diseases like cancer, diarrhea, genetic disorders, genetic mutations and 100s of irreversible effects on all living ecosystem including human beings.. I challenge that govt should show at least 1 successful example of river which is protected.. Request all my friends to come together and suggest some action.. Request everybody to share this info.. Unfortunately aaj mhanava lagtay, sarkaar che doke thikanavar ahe kay ?
