Though we often might presume to do so, the mind, the thoughts... the heart of another is not ours to understand. I think it inappropriate and unwise to even surmise to know what goes on in a heart that is not my own. I am always disappointed by media interviews speculating about what might be running through the mind of someone in the public arena. I am not even sure that we ourselves can confidently know our innermost musings... because we dont have the time even to listen to our own hearts these days. So, perhaps the next time you are alone with no devices to distract... just listen. You might hear thoughts that surprise or disappoint or challenge. Then again you might find yourself in the presence of the only One who actually really does know whats going on inside you ...all the way from your most embarrassing shallowness ...to the deep, secret corners of your soul. Complete privacy is not an option. God knows the mind, the thoughts, the heart of man. I am not God... nor are you.
