Though we still make errors while striving to be better, emails like this tell me were doing OK - Hi Luke, I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your very generous gesture in allowing me to keep the shirt at no charge. I would have been more than happy to pay for it, but your generosity in not asking me to do so is very much appreciated. Generally speaking, I find your levels of service to be extremely high, and the odd error being made is understandable, we all make mistakes on occasion. However, I have found your commitment to customer service on the odd occasion when an error has been made to be excellent, and very refreshing in this day and age where the idea of providing an excellent customer experience seems to be an increasingly alien concept to many companies. The uniqueness and quality of your products and the level of service provided really marks you out from the crowd. When I wear one of your shirts, particularly into the office, it always draws comments and enquiries as to where I obtain the shirts, and I do not hesitate to give people details of your website and to recommend your products, due to the quality of both the products you supply and the levels of customer service that go with them. Anyway, as I said, I just wanted to thank you for your generosity, as a result of which I suspect that I will sport an even broader smile than I usually do wearing one of your shirts whenever I wear the Jimbo.
