Thought Id share a day in the life of Anna - 5 years old with CF: Wake up, drink high calorie milkshake with morning medicines. Get dressed. First nebuliser, physio, second nebuliser. Drink another medicine. Breakfast (in theory, long story!) Walk to school. School - high fat snack at school with creon (3 tablets - a pancreatic enzyme which she has to take whenever she eats anything and with drinks with fat in i.e milk), lunch with creon. Teachers encourage her to huff and cough while exercising at school. Walk home from school. Do homework. Play. Dinner (again in theory). Third nebuliser, physio, fourth nebuliser, high calorie milkshake with evening medicines. Drink glass of medicine. Bath, bed. All in all around shes taken about 30 tablets a day. Think youd agree all children with CF are amazing to have this as their normal life and to do it without complaining (most of the time!) This does vary from child to child but this is what I need to do with Anna.
