Thought Id share something amusing that happened about an hour ago. I was on my way into an office. As I was approaching the door, a couple in their early twenties, exited: a very brown-skinned black male and a somewhat lighter-skinned Hispanic female. Both would be considered of above-average appearance by most. (Not me, the girl couldnt hold a candle to the most average of my young sisters, IMO) Anyway, standing about ten yards away was a Hispanic male who appeared to be in his late forties to early fifties. As he stared at the couple for the for the twenty seconds or so it took for them to get to and into their car, this face took on the most venomous look of contempt. One corner of his lip curling. He even lifted his sunglasses to get a sharper look and his eyes narrowed with anger. I lingered by the office door with my hand ready to push it open waiting until the couple was in their vehicle. Just when their doors shut, I shouted out to the older Hispanic male, Hey! When he turned around to see that it was me calling out to him, I said, I feel the same way you do. He looked around to see who else was watching and responded, What? I smiled and said, I feel the same way you do when I look at them. I turned to go into the door but made sure to look at him one more time right before I went in ----when I knew he would figure I was gone for good. He had his sunglasses up again scrutinizing me; trying to figure out just what the hell was going on. I guess black people are never supposed to be that observant and are rarely heard to express OUR own disapproval to non-black people of mixed coupling. I really was just motivated by how highly disturbing I found the couple myself and knew it would be particularly soothing for me to say so to *him*. It just messed him all up. A nice double-dip.
