Thought about keeping the kids home today as I know many did. Sent them anyway...reminding the older one to just be aware of surroundings and sounds and to keep phone with her....I hate having that talk with her. Thinking back on when those towers fell, I was holding her little 4 mo. old self in my arms. I think of kids that I know who have gone to her school that have been raised to hate our government, I think of the teacher there that doesnt pledge to the flag....because its his right not to....I think of all the families that have said...that will never happen here...and then it does. I think of my little guy who will be told of the heroes and loved ones we lost that day and never truly grasp what we all saw that day, and the library lawn he will pass today covered in a full size flag for every soul lost that day...and how he will say how many there are! And all I can do, the best thing I can do, is close my eyes and beg God for the safety of my babies.
