Thought doing a good deed at lunch was a good idea. So, the blood bank called and really, really invited me to donate my valuable O neg blood. Of course, I said absolutely, thinking the timing over my lunch hour would be perfect. Donation smooth and quick. A thank you and see you in September, back to work. Three minutes later back in the chair, feet elevated, cool compresses, and a sugary coke. Ten minutes later on to work for real. Five minutes back to work and oh no, here we go again. Thanks going out to my co Workers, Terry Hicks, Allyssa Thayer, Dr. McKinley and groomer, Hiroko for their caring gestures, ginger ale, and tootsie roll. I was soon feeling better and seeing patients again. Nicole Shearer informed me she doesnt do humans, but that she was ready to run karo syrup into my gums, and that she was prepared to step over me on the way to call 911. Thanks everybody, you are the best. Oh and I am fine more, but I cant do any heavy lifting for. .. what did it say? ... days, I think. Next time, I will visit the lovely blood team at Oneblood on my day off.
