Your father remembers when the Dead Sea was still alive. So here goes. With all of the troubles I have seen recounted on the news today, I am drawn back again to my youth and the man that represented the amazing possibilities of America - what we had accomplished and, most importantly, what lay ahead, He gave us reason for optimism, He was a Democrat who believed in lowering taxes, thanking God publicly for our blessings, a father who displayed affection for his children openly and a mortal man with many flaws. In spite of failures, he took the blame and suffered the consequences. What have we today in that office? Is it any wonder at the cynicism of our children towards the pillars of our government?
