Thought i was on Christmas Day on Create and Craft but you have been spared that! Suspect it was because i was wired due to not much food that day, heavy traffic jams and stress getting to the studion and then swigging rather fast a very sugary supposed champayne - apple cordial and sparkling water but floor manager had made mainly out of neat cordial to keep the colour and of course all that sugar hit me - wow! I was just like the children after a cake fest. Thank you all for the likes - am beginning to understand how FB works so keep liking! If you mised the burble for Owl bunting last year it is here and photos below - not sure if all six pics will come across - hope so ‘Owls of Delight with Jennie Rayment! Two 5” fabric squares Felt & wadding or fleece scraps 15 cm thin ribbon or braid Buttons or beads 1. Cut two 5” squares. Press one 5” square in half diagonally. Open out and re-press one corner to touch the centre crease. Place the pressed square R/S down on second 5” square - R/S up. (Both R/S’s face). 2. Sew round the edge of the square and across the pressed fold (use ¼” or 6mm S/A). Trim excess fabric. 3. Decide which side is the front of the Owl. Slit the top layer carefully in the centre. Turn Owl R/S out. Press. 4. For the feet: Tie knot in ends of braid, fold in half and place on bottom of the Owl front. For the fluffy breast: Cut an arched section of felt or fleece. Lay this over the feet. 5. Zigzag round edge of felt or fleece. Fold top of Owl over. 6. Cut small triangle of felt for the beak. Sew beak in place - beak anchors the point of the Owl through all layers. Add buttons or felt scraps for eyes. 7. Thread cord through top of Owl and hang up. Now make another and another - you can change the colours, adjust the legs, alter the eyes and have a row of all different owls that are truly delightful. Your ingenious bunting will be viewed with a woo and a wow! Copyright Jennie Rayment 2014
