Thought of the Day: There is a voice! As I sat down to see what the Lord would say to us this morning I could hear a faint voice of in the distance and I knew it was the Lord calling to us. I heard “come” and then I heard “come closer.” As I took a step to be nearer so I could hear, I realized he had drawn close to me. I heard him say: • You are precious to me. I love you - Isaiah 43:4 (ESV) “you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you” I have to take some time to take this in. You and I are precious, he honors us and yes HE LOVES YOU! • You are pleasing to me - Song of Solomon 7:6 “How beautiful you are and how pleasing, my love.” Oh my he sees us as beautiful (how do we see ourselves). You are beautiful! And we are pleasing to him – why? Because he calls us “my love.” Selah which means to pause and meditate. Don’t rush to what is next because “How beautiful you are and how pleasing, my love.” • I rejoice over you - Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” I do not need to say anything except go back and drink in what Zephaniah wrote – did you see the four things written? • I delight in mercy - Micah 7:18 “He delights in mercy” Can you hear his voice he is calling to you? Please take the time to respond. Put some quiet worship on, just wait, don’t be in a hurry. I hear again “I LOVE YOU” There is a voice!
