Thought of the Day: from Letty Bromenschenkel, posted on several Facebook groups and pages, (some minor grammar editing by me) Now the pure conservatives demand Impeachment? Where were the pure conservatives in November 2012? 8 million conservatives refused to show up to remove Obama in 2012 because of revenge, retaliation, single issue syndrome, too lazy, calculated hate because your guy didnt win, he’s an evil Mormon, he is an evil success story in business. .and so on. So NOW they demand impeachment? The very activity to keep the Democrats in control of the Senate....Awesome strategy! My Comments The writer makes a key point here...when we fail to stand together, the NET RESULT is liberals WIN. We conservatives should never lose sight of the fact that the differences between any of us are far smaller than the differences between all of us and any liberal. If you fail to support and vote for the conservative candidate, you are basically voting for the liberal. When the primary in District 4 is over, I support the Republican winner, period, because I do not want to see a Democrat as my Representative. Voting matters, and as Letty says, if those 8 million voters had shown up, we would not be having this debate, because we would be talking about President Romney. Instead, we are talking impeachment, but to CONVICT, we need 67 votes in the Senate, something beyond the realm of possible, even if every Blue seat goes Red in 2014, and no Red seats go Blue, we are still short of 67 in the 114th Congress, and 66 votes to convict is the same as 0...NET RESULT, President Obama remains President. We should also remember that the purpose of this primary is for each party to select who the voters of that party feel is the best candidate to represent them in Congress. On August 7th, the voters of this District will select which Republican that is, and while we may not like the winner, on November 4th, we will have TWO choices to be your voice in Washington: Republican who wins primary, or Democrat Lenda Sherrel Those are the cold hard facts....so unless you want a Democrat as your voice, vote on Nov 4th, and vote Republican, if you dont, you are voting for her!
