Thought of the day: I am very aware that Isiah and I are young and it doesnt help that we look younger than we actually are. I could not begin to tell you how many times we have been overlooked when shopping for larger items like furniture, but today was a little different. Today we approached a gentlemen and asked to purchase a particular item. He proceeded in asking us if we knew that this is the most expensive brand they carry. I replied, yes. He then carried on to state that he was concerned because we probably are on a budget. I replied, no. I get it we look young, we have a baby, but that does not give a person any right to make others feel horrible and uncomfortable. What if I was on a budget? What if I couldnt afford a $50 can of paint? I would have been humiliated more so than I already was. I worked in retail management for years before currently working at a sleep medicine clinic. If there was anything I learned in retail, never judge anyone by their appearance and help everyone equally, because they very well may surprise you. #homedepot
