We enjoyed perfect weather, spring training baseball games, the fabulous air show at Luke Air Force Base, a little shopping.....and....just doing nothing. My brain has been recharged and ready to resume reunion planning and updating. This Thursday I will be attending a meeting at Canoga regarding the 100th birthday and will send an update over the weekend. Right now I want to give you the hotel information for our reunion weekend and just repeat some dates. Almost everyday there is a new person requesting information, so not everyone as seen previous e-mails. Our reunion is taking place on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the Woodland Hills Hilton, which is also hotel central. They have given us a great rate for lodging. So, after you have talked, laughed and reconected with your classmates, danced your legs off, had a couple glasses of wine...all you have to do.... is take the elevator home. Approximately 5:30 PM Homecoming parade prior to game against Reseda, game around 7:00. Sock hop in the boys gym after the game, (Im so excited about this) meet and greet continues in Fitzgeralds Lounge at the Hilton. SATURDAY OCTOBER 11th, during the day, starting at 7:00 AM pancake breakfast, 9:00 AM - - 3:00 PM car show. Rest of the campus open: tour the museum, walk the grounds, plan a picnic on the senior lawn, reception in the cafeteria for retired teachers and administrators, slide show of old photos in the Assembly Hall (one of Canogas original buidlings) Pay tribute to our fallen Hunters lost in military service at Canogas memorial wall in the quad area, student store open and selling items with the school and 100 year logos IN THE EVENING 6:00 TO MIDNIGHT in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton, our 50 Year Reunion Dinner and Dance SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12th plans are in the works We are still working on reunion details, including the final ticket price, and all that it will include. We will finalize that information in April when the invitation is mailed. We are still looking for volunteers to help with the reunion; both now and reunion weekend.
