Thoughts? So the Halo 5 pre-orders are available through Gamestop. Figured Id look at the special editions (specifically collectors) cause they do some cool stuff (ie Reach CE). $250...and all I can find about it is that its a Blue Box, comes with the LE of the game, a statue (no picture), and additional content. HAHAHAHA Im sorry, I just...cant even right now. At $250, only the people who have only ever bought a console BECAUSE of Halo or those with money to spare would be pre-ordering this at $250 (and if I remember correctly thats gonna be a hefty chunk needed to put down a pre-order due to Gamestop policy, though Im sure you can pre-order elsewhere, but I cant think of anywhere else that wouldnt require you to pay it fully) and theyre basically giving you NO information on if the included content is worth $150 extra, let alone the $40 extra for the LE which is also pretty much gives you no information for. Mind you, this is a YEAR AHEAD to pre-order. The die-hards will have grabbed them all and then no one who is willing to cough up the dough for it after the details have released will even be able to get it. Im not an XBox player, Ive owned Playstation since the original and have never bought one. Though I cobbled together a 360 from a couple broken ones that used the same model parts (in other words, free). I have enjoyed Halo from the original to Reach, however I am continuing to lose both interest for Halo and respect for the IP since 343 took it over and after Halo 4s abysmal campaign, mainstreamed feeling controls/gun feedback, and lackluster/repetitive Spartan Ops (poor substitute for co-op campaign anyways), not to mention the nail in the coffin of the Master Chief Collection issues (Is that even fixed yet? Last I heard it was still full of issues a month later), I just cant be bothered to show any interest nor have any hope for the continuation of the series. My opinion on Halo 4/343 taking over the IP: They shouldnt have used MC, AT ALL. It connected the new games to the old ones and that was the problem because it felt so different. I believe if theyd instead focused on the new Spartans that you encountered in 4s campaign that it may have been able to stand on its own feet, something along the lines of Spartan Ops, but an actual story campaign revolving around actual characters with backstories, faces, names, and a way to connect to them, unlike Spartan Ops this is you, youre a spartan. I think that would have made a much better campaign than they were able to muster with the focus on MC, cause lets face it, theyre not Bungie.
