Thoughts.... and ... facts.... OK, the gianormous jet has been missing for something like 10 days.... BILLIONS of dollars have been spent trying to locate it.... and... I have seen many FB comments as why are we spending soooo much money trying to find out what happened?. Alan Christopher Thigpen had a good comment that it involved 200+ people, who, hopefully can be found..... Let me share another prospective... part of it is fact... part is my opinion....My son and daughter live in that part of the world... HK... soooo... I have a little more interest and knowledge about whats happening than most Americans. Here are facts... gianormous plane missing... lost tracking by CIVILAIN tracking.... ok... here is where it gets interesting... no MILITARY tracking can determine where it went....... OPINION: In that part of the word, about 2/3 of the worlds population live.... most governments are either one party rule (example.. China) or run by dictatorships (example... North Korea)...and not very stable.... those countries are not BFFs... trust me on that.... NOT BFFs.... World news and my experience from visiting SE Asia is that the missing jet exposed how poor several air defenses are ..... imagine how we in the states would feel if a Russian or Chinese plane entered our airspace... disappeared from radar and satellite tracking... and traveled couple thousand miles through somewhere in the states.... we would be scared as can be... My opinon... couple dozen countries want to know 1. what happened to the plane and 2. wtf their best military tracking did not pickup that hugh intrusion.......I mean, like it could have been a missile attack.... I guarantee that a gazillion dollars will be spent in improving military tracking in SE Asia...... Alan, Im sorry, but.... its more about military security than about 200 + lives..... Think about it.
