Thoughts from Sunday Are you an underdog? I dont think so, what Pat said Sunday is true. But if your like me, you ask how can I do _____? How did Joseph do it? “So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God ?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” Genesis 41:38-40 Now while Pharaoh may not have understand Josephs source, Joseph did and he received wisdom from the Holy Spirit and relied on God. We too have the Holy Spirit living in us. Pat shared Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” The Apostle Paul also tells us “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 So we can have confidence that when God calls he will also provide “Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” 1Thessalonians 5:24 Another great scripture Pat shared is from John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. So we are no longer underdogs, although the enemy would love for us to keep believing that lie. We are new creations who have the LORD JESUS CHRIST living in us. Want to grow in faith, then step out in faith. Faith: Taking God at His word and staking ones life on the fact that He can and will do what He said He would. Read John Chapter 15 and see how the Vine (God) flows through the branch(us) to produce fruit that we get to bear/deliver.
