*Threatened* . . . a National Historic Landmark in Red Bank, NJ! (Much rarer than just a National Register property). The T. Thomas Fortune House, or Maple Hall, was the home of an early Civil Rights advocate and African American journalist. Its a (neglected) 19th century, Second Empire style house --- and it will soon be knocked down if the owners application to demolish is approved. Its amazing to me that even National Landmark status doesnt stop people from demolishing American history. Sell it.
