Three Americans died this week while serving the people of Egypt. - TopicsExpress

Three Americans died this week while serving the people of Egypt. Surprisingly little mention has been given to this fact. One is particularly striking to me. He was a college student teaching English to children. Innocent. Not a slacktivist pushing like on facebook. The kind of person who actually lifted a more than just fracking finger to heal the world, to perfect it. Would he have been a better political symbol - that is to say, would he have gotten more coverage - had he been a christian missionary? A state department employee? Not Jewish? Not an idealistic kid trying to make things better? 4 died in Benghazi, and as they made for good political theater to a political base, congress has spent millions to find out if anyone modified the post-mortem talking points. Three die an equally gruesome death, sans use in an impending election, and not much from the talking heads. (The politicians and "news" people that is. Not the band. The band was awesome.) Where is the love?
